A Fresh Start on a Historic Corner
402 Main Street has been through a lot — once a home to thriving small businesses, then struck by fire and left as a scar in the heart of downtown.
Now, we’re rebuilding — not just a building, but a place where life happens. We want to identify the highest and best use for this important corner, but most importantly, we want this to be a place that feels welcoming. Where people run into neighbors, linger a little longer, and feel proud of what Lyons is becoming. Our intention is that what comes next will honor this corner’s history, and serve Lyons’ future.
Bringing Everyday Life Back to Main Street
In practical terms, we’re rebuilding a 10,000-square-foot, two-story, mixed-use building that looks like it belongs here — using brick and locally sourced sandstone, with space for several street-level storefronts.
But it’s more than a building. Every part of the design — from the architecture to the businesses we’re creating and attracting — is meant to bring energy and everyday life back to Main Street. To drive foot traffic. To support our neighbors. To help people stay in town for the things they need, and spend their time and dollars locally. We’re building a space that elevates downtown as a whole — because a rising tide really does lift all boats.

Space for New Local Businesses
Street Level
Downtown Lyons has a few great shops today, but retail works best in clusters. When there are enough storefronts close together, people don't just walk to one destination, they wander from door to door. Three storefronts will be available for lease at 402 Main, all at street level on this high-visibility corner. We're looking for retail that builds on what's already working downtown — shops people can browse between, not just drive to for one errand.

Coworking + Community
Second Floor + 1 Street Level Space
We're building a coworking and events space on the second floor — affordable, flexible workspace for remote workers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and wellness practitioners. It's designed for the days you need to put your head down, and the days you don't want to do it alone.
The space includes open desks, dedicated desks, private offices, phone booths, and meeting rooms, alongside dedicated, hourly-rate practitioner rooms for therapists, counselors, and bodywork professionals building a practice without taking on the overhead of a full-time office.
Members also have access to a small gym, a coffee bar, and an oversized wraparound deck with unmatched mountain views — great for working outside, hosting a party, or simply taking a break.
We see this as more than workspace. Working alone is one of the quiet costs of remote work and running your own thing — this is a place built to fix that: to make good work easier, to make room for balance, and to give the people who live and work here somewhere to connect, collaborate, and belong.
By bringing more people, more often, to the heart of town, we can strengthen our local economy, support the businesses that make Lyons vibrant, and create a virtuous cycle of people supporting places — and places supporting people.
